Der Italiener

Paolo Poloni, an Italian, portrays the employees at an Italian restaurant in Zurich where there are no longer any Italians working. Instead there are Tamils, Afghans, Bosnians, Filipinos and Pakistanis. He asks himself where have all the Italians gone? But he feels comfortable in this cosmos which is neither Switzerland, nor Italy, and with this rendezvous with world history. In this film it is not the guest who is king but the dishwasher and the waiter.
